Myrtice West (1923 - 2010) began painting landscapes as therapy during her young adult years. Years after the birth of her daughter, Myrtie felt compelled to paint scenes from the book of Revelation. In fact, she believed that the Holy Spirit guided her hand, especially during the first of a series of large paintings. Best known for large scale painting cycles of Biblical events, she also created smaller painted wooden cutouts of angels.
